What is worth writing about
Corrections
The most useful message this site receives. If a price, an opening time, a free-entry window or a Metro fare on one of these pages does not match what you found in Madrid, say so. Please include the page it is on and what the correct figure was — and when you were there, because a museum’s winter hours and its summer hours are both true at different times of year. Corrections that check out are made and the page gets a fresh date.
A place has closed or changed
Restaurants, bars and shops turn over. If somewhere recommended here has shut, moved, or stopped doing the thing it was recommended for, that is worth knowing about.
Questions about visiting Madrid
Reasonable questions get answered when there is time, and a question that comes up repeatedly usually means a guide is missing or unclear — which is useful in itself. Please read the relevant guide first; the answer is often already there.
Suggestions for new guides
If there is something about Madrid you needed to know before your trip and could not find a straight answer to anywhere, that is exactly the kind of gap this site is trying to fill.
Photography and copyright
Images here are licensed from Pexels and Wikimedia Commons under licences permitting reuse, with credit where the licence requires it. If you are a photographer and believe an image of yours has been used incorrectly or credited wrongly, get in touch and it will be corrected or removed promptly. Please identify the specific image and page.
Privacy and data requests
Requests to access or delete personal data, and any question about how this site handles data, can be sent through the same form. See the privacy policy for what is collected.
What this site cannot help with
To save you the wait for a reply that will not be useful:
- Bookings. This site does not sell tickets, reserve tables, book hotels or arrange tours, and cannot amend, cancel or chase a booking you made elsewhere. Contact the venue or the platform you booked through.
- Visas, entry rules and consular matters. These depend on your nationality and change without warning. Your own government’s travel advice and the Spanish consulate responsible for your country are the only reliable sources.
- Lost property, police reports and emergencies. In an emergency in Spain, call 112. For non-urgent police matters the Policía Nacional handles tourist reports, including the denuncia you will need for an insurance claim.
- Guest posts and link requests. This site does not publish sponsored articles, accept paid links, or run link exchanges. Messages offering them are deleted unread.
Advertising and commercial enquiries
Advertising on this site is sold programmatically, not directly, so there is nothing to negotiate. Enquiries about paid placement within articles will not be taken up — see the about page for why.
